Stay Safe With Online Diamonds
Friday, November 27th, 2009There are many ways to buy diamonds. One way is to go online. However why would you want to go online? And is there anything you need to know, so that you stay safe with your purchase, and get the real thing? Yes there is some interesting benefits, as well as things you need to be careful of, when buying online. The real big benefit is that you will get a big saving. Diamonds are one of those higher purchases, and whether you want casual wear jewelry, a wedding ring, wedding jewelry or earrings, there is a one thing for certain, this purchase can run into the thousands. I was looking online the other day and found some nice diamond jewelry. The retail price was over a million bucks! That is $1,000,000! And is a princely sum indeed. So it shows that people are spending large sums of money online. The store I looked at was reputable, and I trust them. Some places though are not good to buy from, and this is why I wrote this article for you. There is a need to be careful, so the diamond you buy, is a real diamond. So let us make sure we buy real diamonds when on the internet. The question is why would anyone buy online, when there are so many jewelry stores, where they can walk in see the diamond, buy it, then it is there’s? The reason is price! Buying online offers a lot of benefits. The biggest being that it is much cheaper than buying through a store. There are many places that have jewelry for sale, however, most of these places only have high prices. Look online and seeing savings of 10% to 40% is readily available. That could be savings of a few hundred dollars, it could be a saving of thousands. It can be seen why people go online to buy these gems! When you buy through a reputable store, you can rest assured that you have real diamonds, as well as making a real saving. The question is – how do you know if the store is reputable? In most cases it can be hard to be 100% sure. One key aspect is with price. Be careful of big claims. A $1000 diamond sold for $500 is not going to be a real diamond. Also look at the age of the store. Older stores mean more likeliness that they are real. It can be a great idea to find a phone number and call up to find out if someone answers. Make sure to have some questions to ask, or you can ask if they actually stock the diamond, how long for delivery, etc. If you can’t find a phone number, you can find an email, and contact them through that. Personally if they reply, I would take that as a good sign.
