Using Silver Jewelry to Augment Your Wardrobe

Sunday, December 27th, 2009

Who doesn’t have an outfit from last year still in her closet? Perhaps you haven’t worn it for a while… but as it still flatters, it’d be a shame to toss it out. With the right silver jewelry, you can perk up any outfit and give it a fashionable touch.

Whether it’s a classic black frock you’d like to  “dress up”, well-worn jeans that you want to turn trendy and cool, or an old waistcoat that you wish were right in style, the right bit of silver jewelry can make the transformation. In short – anything’s possible!

So, let’s get to work: Have you picked out an outfit? Great! Before choosing your jewelry, think about the look you’d like to create: Do you want to make that conservative dress look posh? Daring? Can you give that old waistcoat a vintage look? To choose the perfect piece of jewelry for the task, it’s best to come prepared. This time, we’ve got some suggestions on how to upgrade your look with a few bracelets.

For a youthful look: If you’re the type who feels best in t-shirts and jeans, a bracelet with a colourful gemstone will lend just the right sparkle to your wrist. Purple Amethysts look great with jeans, and so do Opals and heavenly blue Aquamarines. If you’d like to make those jeans look really posh, don a silver bracelet with pearls. You won’t believe what that classic little gleam of white will do for your everyday look!

For a prestigious look: A thick silver bracelet is always impressive, and lends a festive note to your appearance for that night on the town or that fancy dinner. If adorned by Garnets or Zircons – an inexpensive alternative to diamonds – your look will be rich and tony.

For a trendy look: If it’s an image of stylishness you want to project, then silver link bracelets are all you’ll need in your jewelry box. Wearing several of these at once will give you a singular, unmistakable look…and, for a fancier turn of wrist, just add a bracelet with some or all of its links in goldfill.

Enjoy!
